The Taca Sota is an AD&D race I created when Hero Gaming Club converted everything to AD&D. they are a race of bipedal feline-like humanoids, covered with fur, which distinguishes sub races from the race itself. They have yellow cat like eyes, speech accented with a growl like draw (rolling their Ks). They can speak any number of languages, but they commonly know Taca Sota, the common language to all felines and other sevalyn toings. they are carnivores, but civilized in their eating habits. Their close knit community is rules by a high Lord or Eldar called a NaDo Grodo, living by laws and lawful ethics, but with no known religion or beliefs other than what they can touch, see, or further explain though other methods. They believe their lives are governed by a superior being, but they do not worship that being, preferring a live and let live course. They can be a fighter (ranger), thief or Wizard, as well as multiclass. All taca Sota (except those in subclasses as described below) have the following abilities: -2 to Wisdom, +1 to Dexterity. They can jump straight up 8 feet or out and down 15 feet + STR without damage. Natural move rate is 18 and excellent trackers. Excellent smell and hearing means they are surprised only on a 1 (out of 20), and they have 120 feet infervision. Retractable claws deliver 1d6 damage plus STR bonus. Base Thief Skills:
OL: -10% MS: +20% HS: +25% DN: +30% CW: +80% Base Age: 2d8+4
Sub racesDagodo: The Dagado (or Striped One) is a powerful and cunning fighter that receives an extra +1 to its STR ability. Commonly fighters (rangers), their level limits are: Fighter: 14, Wizard: 10, and Thief: 8. If rangers, +2 to tracking score. Orange fur with black stripes and white patches on stomach, face, and paws. Nosogodo: The Nosogodo (or Shadowcat) is stealthy and dangerous with +2 to DEX. They favor rogue classes and their level limits are: Thief: 14, Fighter: 10, and Wizard: 8. They gain +4 to surprise when wearing leather or light armor (decrease one armor slot per category thereafter--see AC chart in PHB). If a thief, +5 to base thieving score in HS and MS. Black or gray fur. Ocodogodo: The Ocodogodo (or Swift One) are fastest and most intelligent, with +1 to INT, commonly encountered as Wizards. Limits: Wizard: 14, Thief : 10, and Fighter: 8. Same MR as Taca Sota, but for a total number of rounds equal to 1/2 of CON. They have a burst of speed equal t a MR of 54 (triple normal), but must rest 3 hours before attempting that feat again (no penalties afterwards). Yellow fur with black spots and white on chest and paws. Due to lack of faith, rangers gain no priest spells, but may gain special abilities determined by DM, which can be anything from prof. to naturally gained abilities.
