Dear John,

Hi, my name is Drew MacDonald. I am a member of Dragonslayers Unlimited and I read in the last issue of Chainmail that I received (#42) that you had an ad looking for submissions for the newzine. I have been playing in a PBM with Terry Mesnard and he thinks I should submit some of my artwork.

So here are six pages of drawings. I'm a painter by trade, so I tried to draw them in line form to make them print a little better.

I noticed that you don't use any half tones photos or drawings, so I hope these will print out well.

I have also enclosed a new monster that I came up with and a drawing of it. I'm sorry that I don't have a computer or a typewriter to use, so I had to write it out by hand. Hope this is okay. Oh, I hope you have a way to reduce the size of the drawings as I can only draw so small with what I have to work with.

Well, here is my work and I submit it for your consideration and with any luck I'll see it in Chainmail.

If you are interested I have some other things I could submit traps, drawings and some new rules if you would like to see them please let me know.

I have two questions for you; When will issue #43 be coming out? Do you know when I have to renew my membership?

P.S. I have other drawings but I don't think they would print without a half tone. There is too much on them. Oh ya, and I also sent in a comic.

PBM

I am a very interactive and imaginative player. I would rather role play a character with a personality, than roll play a power character. I prefer rogues arid rangers, but can easily play any character with some flair, and can even do quite well with pre-generated characters. Now, I must inform you that I have only had a limited experience with specific game settings aside from the Forgotten Realms (which I am very familiar with), and most of that was from Dragon magazine.

I look forward to hearing from ya'll soon, and remember an army to your front is better than an enemy at your back. Until we game again,
