BardSong I

Poem

by Novice Steven Dashiell "Gnosh"

I sing a song of mighty men,
Of maidens kept in towers high,
Strung with thistles, thick as lace
With thorns seen in the midnight sky.

A valiant warrior, gleaming bright,
With armor forged in Elven lands,
A knight born strong in royalty
Shield on back, sword in hand.

I sing a song of honored wars,
Of viceroys sitting 'side the king,
With noble warriors dying quick,
For sanctity, a silly thing.

I sing a song of times long past,
Upon this lute, I proudly play,
A never ending tale of lore,
That finishes another day.
