Official Rule Changes

Russian Campaign

1. In order for the game to move quickly and to give the Germans the chance to arrive at the gates of Moscow before the first winter the following important rule must be included.

AUTOMATIC VICTORY

Russian units attacked at 10 to 1 odds or greater are automatically eliminated and are removed from play during the MOVEMENT PORTION of the German player's turn. Units that did not take part in the 10 to 1 attack may move through or onto the eliminated Russian unit's hex and may attack other Russian units if required.

Units taking part in the initial 10 to 1 attack can not move further that impulse and may not attack other Russian units in the following combat phases. If they are adjacent to other Russian units in the combat phase then these Russian units MUST be attacked by other Axis units.

This rule lasts until the end of the game and Axis units may assist German units in the Automatic Victory.

The Automatic Victory can use a STUKA unit to reach the 10 to 1 odds.

2. Worker units placed in major cities are doubled in their DEFENCE value only and not in attack or replacement value.

To assist play balance do not double the replacement value of worker units (after May/June 1943) once the Russian player has entered Germany, Poland, Hungary or Rumania.
