First let me apologize to some of you who are still waiting for some Wargames Research Group miniatures rules books we advertised two issues back. Unfortunately the wholesaler from whom we ordered (and paid for) these ran out and so far hasn't restocked. We've been expecting them every day. If, by the time you read this, you still haven't received yours and are tired of waiting, let us know and we will refund your money. Otherwise we'll keep trying. As I said last time, the results of the "What Kind of Person Reads PANZERFAUST" questionaire won't be announced until the next issue -- to allow time for all replies to come in. However, I notice that a great many of you are subscribers to one or more of the wargaming Magazines which seem to have folded over the past winter. Well, I want you to know that, a few months ago, I wrote to the publishers of BATTLE FLAG, THE SPARTAN, CONFLICT, and EL CONQUISTADOR and to each offered to negotiate a deal whereby we would complete their unfulfilled subscriptions with issues of PANZERFAUST. All we wanted were some back issues, or games or something to help offset the costs. Mainly we were hoping to increase our circulation and convince some of these new readers to resubscribe. You who already have PF subs would have your subs extended, which is where we'd lose the most. However, not one of the four publishers have even acknowledged the offer! So I leave it to you. If this sounds like a reasonable offer, please write to the publisher of any and all of these four magazines that owe you issues on your subscription and let them know of your feelings. An now to the Return Fire results for last issue:
VERDUN: Situation & Game 7.07 THIRD REICH Addenda 6.68 Issue #67 as a whole 6.64 VERDUN: the Variants 6.29 Mail Call 6.18 Beating the System 6.02 Line of Communications 5.42 G2 Reports 4.98 Battle Report: Le Caillou 4.65 Down, naturally, from #66's all time high spots. But not bad. This is the first time any of the columns ever beat out all the articles, though. Well, there were a lot of very interesting games to review last time - and more of the same this time, too. Some even voted for Thumbnail Analysis in the best three voting, though it's not eligible for a bonus. "Le Caillou" also received quite a few votes, despite its low rating.
