Julie wants me to request that when you resubscribe (or correspond with us about your sub), please mention the issue your old sub ends with. It makes it easier to find you in our records, since they are grouped by ending issue (so we know whose sub to stop). Also, I'd like to request that, if you write us about more than one subject, that you put each on a separate piece of paper. It is far more efficient to do all similar actions (such as address corrections) at one time, and then proceed to the next job, than to take each piece of paper that comes in and take care of 3 or 4 unrelated things. On the Return Fire page, this time , we are including a space for you to vote for what you think is the single best board game brought out in the last 12 months. We thought the results would be of interest to you readers, and also to game publishers. By "best" we mean the one that you, personally, enjoy the most. Considering the number of new games around, the competition should be fierce (though I think I know what the winner wi11 be). Also we are asking you to vote for the alltime best board game ever. (Commercial games, please. I know chess is a board game, for instance, but a vote for it doesn't tell us anything, since it is not the product of a single company.) Since our offer to extend your subscription by one issue for every new subscriber you bring us is not exactly overwhelming us with new subscribers, we have another deal for you (This is an optional deal, you can still get the sub extension instead, if you'd rather): For every NEW subscriber (not renewals) that you bring us we will give you a $1.00 discount (over and above any other discounts!) on any order on a current Subscriber's Discount form - provided the order accompanies the subscription. (We can't afford to keep records on who has credit coming, etc.) And now for the results of the last issue's Return Fire:
The rating for the issue as a whole is down from 6.63 and that set another record for all time low (just barely). However, most articles were rated considerably higher than those in #62. There just wasn't anything to compete with that 7.77 for John Hill's BAR LEV article. In the voting for best three we got our first three-way tie:
SPI vs SDC - Holland $3.00 French Victory - O'Brien $0.67 Allied Victory - Wong $0.67 German Army - Munoz $0.67 Back to Table of Contents -- Panzerfaust #64 To Panzerfaust/Campaign List of Issues Back to MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 1974 by Donald S.
