Alesia Dear Don: Keep up the good work on PANZERFAUST. Will you be stocking any copies of ALESIA in your shop? I've been ttying to get that game for two years and was happy to see the ad for it with the last issue of PANZERFAUST. I had received a letter from Bob Bradley early last year saying that it was going to be avaitable, but that was the last I'd heard until now. David W. Lobtey Charles Pasco, who is publishing ALESIA, says he can't afford to wholesale it, so we will not be able to carry it. Evidently it has not been finished yet, or only recently, as we've had complaints that copies ordered had not been received. -- DSL S&T vs. Panzerfaust Dear Don: I just received Panzerfaust 58. It was good though I hate to see them come out late. I hope things are back on schedute. Where was your ACW History?!? This was the best series I have ever read anywhere and, though I already own all the reference and resource books which you use for the series, it's content has saved much time in synthesizing a collation of these same facts and data. Terry Dotson Thanks for the kind words. The ACW series, as well as most historical material will hence forth be found in CAMPAIGN. Issue 58 hardly had room for more history on top of Lundstrom's Russian Front Series: In fact, this is the whole reason for starting CAMPAIGN: Pf just does not have room for so much history. Too many wargamers seem to view all publications in the hobby as imitations of S&T. But S&T is not a wargaming magazine. It is a history magazine that includes a game, but notice they almost never write about wargames! The purpose of PANZERFAUST is not the presentation of articles on history, nor (as we've gone through many times in these pages) to give away games. It is a magazine about "games of strategy and the strategy of games". As such, all that clutter in the back is very important. --DSL Back to Table of Contents -- Panzerfaust #59 To Panzerfaust/Campaign List of Issues To MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 1973 by Donald S.
