I haven’t read I-III, but IV provides an interesting tale or two of spirits haunting the battlefield. The author leads a “Ghosts” tour and serves as a magnet for ghost stories from visitors.

Cleanly written, this takes you on a tour of various sites and houses, offering eyewitness accounts of temperature drops, poltergeist happenings, and apparitions. I read this around midnight and thoroughly enjoyed all things that went bump in the night--at least in the book. On the other hand, I wouldn’t live in certain of the houses mentioned.

Those visiting the battlefield may want to pay more attention to Triangular Field next to Devil’s Den. Evidently, it’s a hotbed of paranormal events.
