Book Review:

Wing Commander:

End Run

By Christopher Stasheff and William R. Forstchen

Reviewed by Russ Lockwood

Baen, 1994, $4.99, ISBN 0-671-72200-X, 310 pages, paperback

Loosely based on the computer game, the book features two separate stories -- one from each author. Stasheff’s runs 60 pages -- an acceptable tale of a long-range recon patrol -- and isn’t exactly Wing Commander fodder.

Forstchen’s 243 pages is more like it, with space fighters jockeying around in chaotic furballs.

At 50 cents in a discount bin, Wing Commander: End Run is well worth it. Wing Commander, Fleet Action is the sequel to End Run.
