Editors Note: The small scenarios presented in this series gives players a chance to use the Basic or Advanced Game rules in a format that (in be played in 2-3 hours. Veteran gamers will appreciate the "beer and pretzels" quality that short and limited counter scenarios provide. The scenario covers the struggle for control throughout the Trans-Mississippi front the start of the war in July 1861 to the end of the year. Area of Mapboard: The parts of Missouri and Arkansas bounded by the Mississippi. Arkansas, and Missouri Rivers. Scenario Length: The first turn in this scenario is July 1861 and the last turn is Decentber 1861, a total of six turns. Union Order of Battle:Hex
Leader Pool: Sigel is available as a replacement leader. Fort and Battery Pool: 1x Fort State Militia: The MO ST MIL is available; however it must remain in St. Louis. 10/61 1 VOL All Confederate reinforcements arrive at Springfield. Replacements: Both players perform a replacement phase in October 1861. Victory Conditions: The winner and the level of victory is determined by the number of supply capacity points controlled by the Confederate player in the area in play at the end of the last turn.
