Anyone with an interest in getting involved in re-enacting military or civilian life during the American Revolution period should consider contacting the following organizations for information on how to get started.

The Northwest Territory Alliance . Contact Mark Tully, NWTA Public information Officer. 620 Park Street, Baraboo, WI 53913 ; Phone: (608) 356-7952; Fax: (608) 356-1836; e-mail: Tullymon@aol.com . This group hosts events in the Midwest portion of the United States and includes a wide variety of British, German, Loyalist, Continental, Militia and French re-enactment units. Annuai membership fee is $10.00 or $16.00 per family. Courier newsletter subscription is $5.00. NWTA also sponsors the Loyal Irish Volunteer Unit, which allows new members to join without making a commitment to a particular unit or making an investment in period equipment. New members get to spend a weekend with one of the host units, which provides loaner uniforms and equipment to the individual. This is a terrific way for one to dip their toes into the waters of living history before making a substantial investment in equipment.

Brigade of the American Revolution Contact Walter Myer, Adjutant at 27 Comptan Ave. Plainfield, NJ 0703. The BAR is the largest, national organization sponsoring living history events, primarily on the East Coast.
