In issue 19, we published a variant article for the AHGC's "Richthofen's War" game written by James Meldrum. Accidently left out were the third and fourth scenarios to that article. See issue 19 for rules to use Zeppelins in "Richthofen's War." 3) Naval Reconnaissance British: Three Sopwith Triplanes anywhere on the Westmap edge at 3000m. The Allies move first. German: Three Naval Zeppelins at 5500m, anywhere on the East map edge. Victory: To win, the Germans must fly at least one Zeppelin through hexes U2 to U9 at an altitude of less than 5000m and exit the East map edge. Any other result is an Allied Victory. 4) The Loss of LZ 37 This scenario depicts the interception and destruction of the Airship LZ 37 by Flt. Sub-Lt. Reginald Wameford near Ghent Belgium on June 7, 1915. Allies: One Nieuport 11 anywhere on South map edge at 1000m. (Simulates a Morane Parasol aircraft.) German: One naval Zeppelin anywhere on North map edge at 1500m. Notes: In addition to the machine gun, Wameford also carried four small bombs which he used to destroy the Zeppelin. To conduct a bomb attack he must fly over the zeppelin no more than 100m higher than it. Use the tactical bomb rules to score hits. A hit automatically warrants a roll on the Zeppelin critical hits table. Victory: The Germans win by exiting the South map edge. The British win by preventing this.
