From the Cockpit

Happy?

by J.D. Webster

Well, I hope everyone is happier with us now that we've knocked out six issues inside of three months and caught up on all known back issue orders. It's been really tough assimilating everything that Tony more or less used to do on his own. The postal and printer obstacles have been quite interesting to overcome but the key word is that they have been overcome! Hooray. I hope we can keep the pace now.

Our irregularity over the last two years caused our readership, in terms of subscriptions, to fall from its high of about 350 down to barely 220. Our self-sustaining, and liberating, goal has always been a 500+ readership, so we are going to have to work our way back up. A regular publication schedule is our number one priority for achieving that. Second, we've said this before, you can help! Spread the word and pass the flyers around. Beg your hobby shops to carry us. We give them good deals.

The response to the last four issues has been great! A lot of you have written in saying how pleased you are that we are back. More than half the people expiring over the last few issues have re-upped as well, which is a good sign, but new subscribers, which is what we really need, are few and far between. A large handgun may prove useful in encouraging your gamer friends to try us out. Some of you are still not getting issues on time. Several of you have moved and not sent us change of address notices in time. Pity... the Post Office does not normally forward third class mail. So let us know in a timely manner. Or else.
