Data Cards

Introduction

by Tsuyoshi "Psycho" Kawahito

This issue's set of four data cards were done by Tsuyoshi Kawahito of West Covina, CA. "Psycho" has been on the Air Superiority scene since year one of the game and is fairly meticulous about his work and fanatic about his flying style. The four cards: FA-18C, Mirage F1 C, M iG-29 and ATF F-22 were all submitted to us late last year during the turmoil of the change of command of the newsletter and as a result are only now seeing print.

If you have been paying attention to things, you will notice that they are not in the new second edition format but in the original first edition style (Not a problem yet as the second edition game is not on the market, and besides, they tie right in to this scenario and piece so I couldn't resist using them. I hope to have time to redo them 2d edition style in the near future.

A/C Notes:

Mirage F-1 C: Basic interceptor model for the French Air Force. Radar upgraded to Cyrano IVM in 1981 (add TWS technology).
MiG-29: Updated card using multiple sources and previous Air Power notes.
FA-18C: Updated and corrected card as above.
F-22 ATF: Psycho's best guess (I like it! J.D.W.)

(Editor's addition: delete AA-9 from MiG-29 allowed missiles. And reduce minimum speeds in the LO band by 0.5. Reduce 1/2 minimum speed by 0.5 in ML band.)
