Calamity At Halawara!

6 September, 1965 Scenario

by Charlie Vousden

Background:

This Strike was timed to coincide with the one at Adampur. Unfortunately for the three Sabres in this group, they ran into several formations of Hunters which boxed them in. The Sabres had to fight for their lives and in the running battle which ensued, two were lost in exchange for two Hunters shot down. One F-86 escaped with severe damage. India claimed to have downed four F-86s in this fight (more than were even there) while the Pakistani survivor fell that three Hunters had been downed.

    a). By escaping off the West edge of Map H with two or more Sabres while having more points overall or;

    b). By having any one Sabre reach the target airfield and make a strafing attack and then escape off the West edge of Map H. The Strafing attack need not inflict any damage. This condition reflects incredible bravery in the face of terrible odds.
