Air Power

by Tony Valle

Here they are! The Official (as of this writing) Second Edition play aids! And the ORIGINS Air Strike Tournament writeup, and a little surprise for everyone: a condensed (but usable) version of the AIR POWER Tournament Guidelines. I figured the best way to get everyone thinking about running tournaments was to tell them how to do it. Let me remind everyone again that we would be delighted to hear about any tourneys you run. Keep track of the action at the tables, sent in a write-up and get relatively famous in AIR POWER. Or not. But have fun running a tournament anyway because there's nothing quite like it.

Things are moving along in the electronic publishing circuit. J.D. now has mastered PageMaker and other related Mac tools and is able to layout his own rules, play aids (he did these himself) and newsletter material. The AIR POWER "in-crowd" can be found throwing bits around on GEnie, both in the form of electronic mail, and in an online bulletin board.

You can get a GEnie account and hear from the likes of Paul Procyk, Steve Madjanovich, J.D., myself, and even Mark Bovankovich. In fact, even if you don't want to hear from Mark, you can hear from Mark. And when you hear from Mark, you hear a lot. (You can't deny it, Top Wop).

Now if you think that Mark's drawing a lot of abuse, just take note of the fact that he won both the Air Superiority and Air Strike tournaments at ORIGINS. I'd say that calls for a pretty fair amount of abuse, don't you? Fortunately for us, Mark seems to be graduating with a potentially dangerous occupation of making airplanes just when the Communist world is collapsing like a wet dishrag. Maybe he'll turn his considerable talents to something a bit safer like consumer electronics.
