Well men, this is the kick-off issue for year three of AIR POWER. Year two was certainly turbulent and full of unusual problems, delays and other quirks for our newsletter. Despite our best efforts, Tony and I are still playing catchup, but hopefully by Origins we'll be back on track. Articles are starting to come in so thanks guys for your efforts. The next few issues should be entertaining as we plan to do features on the Gulf War, India versus Pakistan, and the Canadian air force. I also plan to do a series of articles introducing the second edition rules and changes that will be appearing with the debut of Gunslingers. I am now fully up and operating on a MAC computer which really helps make life easier for Tony. I am also on a modem and currently on line with GEnie. Those of you with compatible computers who wish to communicate via email may do so. My electronic address is J.WEBSTER6 [mine is A. VALLE2]. Air Power, despite our delays and problems, remains strong. We did recently spend some of the newsletter's money to acquire a graphics scanner in order to make the scanning of silhouettes and artwork possible. More artwork is showing up again in this issue. Previously, we had been using a scanner available to Tony when he was teaching at the College in LaGrange. When he moved to Huntsville for his new job, we lost that. The increase in the price of mail is also forcing us to return to bulk-rate mail. I'll let Tony fill you in on those details. Anyway, the future looks good for us and we hope to continue to keep our loyal subscribers and to continue to grow. Our print runs are up to 600 per issue with some 450+ subscribers. Until next time, take off, 'eh! Back to Table of Contents -- Air Power # 13 Back to Air Power List of Issues Back to MagWeb Magazine List © Copyright 1990 by J.D.
