Tony and I are valiantly trying to catch up and get back on schedule. I'd really like to thank all of you subscribers for being so patient and faithful. Amazingly, despite our tardiness with issue #10, we have received virtually no written complaints or even inquiries. We intend to give you your money's worth in return. The future for Air Power is looking ever brighter. By late January, I should have a Macintosh computer with modem and be on Genie. This is critical for us as it will allow me to transfer text at the speed of light to Tony's computer which will cut in half the amount of man hours it takes to produce each issue. It will also give me the capability to directly layout data cards instead of making Tony rework my pencil roughs. Right now, I'm still working with an over-glorified typewriter, an Atari computer with dot printer and cheap word processing program. Tony has to manually typeset everything I send him which is about 60 percent of each issue. This summer I burned out my only disk drive while feverishly working on "Gunslingers" for GDW. This caused about a two week delay in things. I actually had to jury rig a repair as nobody services Atari dinosaurs anymore. It lasted two days before letting out a horrible squeal and going kaput (shredded drive belt). The disk drive I'm using now is one that GDW UPS'd to me after digging it out of some forgotten attic. It's holding, but it makes sick funny noises also. So you can see why I'm so eager to move up to modern technology. Well, enough whining for now. This issue features two of the data cards from Eagles of the Gulf, Part II, which was supposed to appear in Battleplan #10. (I'm as tired of waiting to hear from them as you guys are of waiting for their magazine, so screw it.) Also featured, are six of the associated scenarios and one of the two remaining maps. The data cards are being presented in the pseudo-second edition style that you saw in issue #9. I'm saying "pseudo" because Tony and I are still working up the real 2nd edition style which will be flashier and hopefully easier to read and use. The new style will enter service with the release of the Gunslinger's game. Ta-Ta for now!
