I am interested in finding out anything about the marker flags carried by French infantry, with the exception of those of the first battalions of each regiment.
Whilst it is well known that only first battalions carried eagle, with or without the regimental colour, after 1808 there is little I can find concerning the designs of thos flags carried by the other battalions. Does anyone know?
