95th Rifles
Re-enactment Group

Old Sarum
(slow: 95K)

A: Riflemen in camp. A fine example of a Baker Rifle. The background figure is wearing fatigue uniform and a 'porkpie' hat.

B: Riflemen in full marching order. Note the hatchet, an indispensible item of the kit. Thetwo examples of knapsack clearly show a regimental badge and manner of carrying a mess tin.

C: Chosen man, Campaign kit. Note French cavalry overalls and blanket, an non-uniform campaign item. Rifleman Moore wears a valiant stormer badge on his left sleeve.

D: 95th drill party. The Rifles had a generous allowance of ball cartridge for field firing exercises in the Peninsula. In background, three types of canvas tent.
