1. I am looking for information concerning the fannions carried by the sapper porte-fannions of the Bavarian line and light units. Was there one pattern carried by all units, or did each unit have a different variant? 2. I am also looking for information concerning the fannions carried by Wurttemberg line and light infantry. I much enjoyed the article on the Wurttemberg flags, but I cannot even verify the ex1stence of fannions. 3. I am looking for information regarding the fannions carried by the Baden line and light infantry formations. Baden has been a kind of pet project for me but I lack information on their fannions. 4. I have been attempting to discover the appearance of the pipe banners of the 42nd, 78th, 79th, 91st, 92nd, and 93rd Highland infantry regiments. I have seen picture of two taken from the 71st in Argentina. They are yellow and crimson respectively. Did Highland regiments carry different colored pipe banners within the same regiment? 5. I recently had the opportunity to see the BBC's production of "Sharpe's Eagle" and "Sharpe's Rifles. I noticed in one of the movies that the rifles carried some sort of fannion. It appeared to be green and have some symbol on it that I could not make out. Do you have any information on the rifle fannions for either regiment?
