1 PORTUGESE INFANTRY SHAKO, 1806.
Malcolm Roberts

Can anyone provide me with details of the shako Portugese infantry might have worn in 1809. I believe it was the 1806 model. I would be grateful for front and back sketch if possible, and details of the plate.

2 PORTUGESE MILITIA 1809
Malcolm Roberts

I am interested in fielding some Portugese militia in my Peninsula army. Does anyone have details of what units fought with the field army (as opposed to just manning the Torres Vedras lines) and what there uniform might have been.

I would like to find out more about the allied artillery at Waterloo. Does anyone know the number, nationality and poundage of the guns fielded by the German & Dutch contingents?

4 THE YORK CHASSEURS
Mike Smith

I have come across a reference to a unit of emigres in British service called THE YORK CHASSEURS. What is known of their unit history and uniforms? I gather that the unit was in the West Indies in 1796.

Apart from the Felt shako (or leather in 1813) are there records of any, other headgear regular US infantry might have worn?
