Review: Irregular ACW Miniatures

by Marc Shefelton

Irregular Miniatures make American Civil War miniatures in 8 scales. They sent me some 10mm, 20mm, and 54mm miniatures to review.

10mm
The figures have a small amount of flash and are extensively detailed. You can even see the dismounted officers crooked mustache! Nearly all of them can stand up by themselves before you remove flash from the bases. Some of the figures feet blend in with the bases, but overall they are excellent figures.

20mm
The 20mm figures have less flash than the 10mm figures, and all of the ones I received can stand up by themselves. They dont rank high in the detail category. They have typical hat, uniform, gun, and the other "typical epuipment(cartridge box, canteen, etc). They look like their 10mm figures, but with a few differences.

54mm
These guys are huge! Oops, thats the 15mm wargamer speaking. The one 54mm figure I received had no flash at all. Its base was very good and held him up excellently. I was bit dissapointed at the detail considering that the 54mm figures have as much detail as the 20mm. The 54mm figure had only slightly more detail than the 10mm figures I received.
