As has been the case in the last three issues, the newsletter is rapidly growing and expanding. As of yesterday, there are currently 181 active members to the group and 7 bouncing members. There is also a new member to the newsletter staff. Kate Manning is now the newsletter's poll editor. She will run frequent polls that will give you a chance to have your opinions heard. And now to the newsletter. First we start off with the Mail with a Meaning Section. There are three letters. This month's question was, "What was the turning point of the American Civil War?". Next, we have an article about George Bush's Battlefield Preservation Bill. Then, we have an article about Hallowed Ground at Gettysburg. Finally we have an article about the Smithsonian's new web site. Also look for this month's "Marc's Hotspot". About March 15th or so, I hope to send an article(most likely a review) to the group. This is a little something for you to read while your waiting for issue #5. Next issue's Mail With a Meaning question is, "How did Napoleon's legacy influence the way the war was fought?". Please send letters to shefeltn@cmh.net or marcshefelton2000@yahoo.com Keep those articles coming and look for more excellent articles in issue #5! Enjoy!
