The New Year is here, along with the 2nd issue of The American Civil War Wargaming Newsletter! I feel that this issue is even better than the first issue. Now to the issue! Starting off this issue of the magazine is the all-new Mail with a Meaning Section. This section talks about who everyone thinks the worst general of the civil war is through the eyes of the people who read this newsletter. Next, the always faithful Scott Mingus presents his hypothetical, and very good scenario called the Battle of Archersville. The map to this is in the files section under scenarios, and it will be on the web site when I get that up and running. Then I talk about how to make streams for your gaming table out of a product model railroaders use called E-Z water. And the first review ever in our all-new review section called Marching to the Front, Bob Slaughter talks about the ruleset that sounds very interesting, Piquet. Then, there is the painting guide that was suppose to be in last issue, but I messed something up. I would also like to introduce the 4 new members of the newsletter staff-
I would especially like to thank James Acerra. He has formatted documents for me, sent in a letter for the Mail with a Meaning section, and more behind the scenes stuff. He has thought up the names of several of the sections. It was in one of these discussions that "Marc's Marks" emerged as the name of this letter to the readers. So I was thinking about putting ads in the newsletter, I went to him. I'm also happy to announce that this issue has the first advertisement in it. It is for Ace's Artwork. Personally, I love ads, it tells me what companies are out in the gaming world. I've met quite a few friends because of adds. I hope you enjoy it. Also, the web site is coming along, but there is a lot more to do. I haven't published it to the web yet, I prefer to wait til its completely done til I do this. I hope to have it up and running by the next newsletter.
