Well, I finally got to my first convention, Origins 2004. I played in a Fire and Fury game as well as several others. It was obvious that Steve, Jodie, Pete, and the others did an excellent job. Unfortunately, there were only a few ACW games. Out of roughly 300 HOT games, only 5 or so were ACW. According to a poll done by The Miniatures Page, out of 300 historical miniatures game, roughly 18 would be ACW. On the other hand, there were tons of World War 2 games (I played with 3 of them). Any idea why this happened? This newsletter brings a couple of articles, mostly written by staff member, James Acerra. Leading off, James Acerra tells starts his column, Arkansas in the Civil War.
