This issue includes several things that might interest the ACW gamer, as well as an announcement. We have an excellent scenario by Scott Mingus, the map is in the files section. We also have the second issue of Scott's column titled The Budget Wargamer. We also have reviews by myself and the Review Editor, Brad Butturff. There is also an article I wrote that tells about a few of the Yahoo Groups that ACW war gamers might be interested in as well as several other goodies.

There have been a few interesting developments going on since the last issue. First, I am in the preliminary stages of running my own war gaming convention in my neck of the woods, Northeast Ohio. This could happen at a local high school, or at one of a few backup locations. I've been talking with several current convention directors and a few that used to run conventions. It looks like I could pull it off if I worked on it hard enough. Another development, though not as big a project, is a possible recruiting effort at NOWScon (the convention for the Northern Ohio Wargaming Society) for HMGS-Greta Lakes Chapter (my local chapter). Also, if you haven't already noticed, this newsletter now has over 360 subscribers making it easily the mst read American Civil War Wargaming Newsletter currently in publication.
