Thank you so much for all your patience awaiting this first issue. In the third month of existence of this Yahoo Group, the first issue is out. Thank you all for your e-mails, ideas, and advice. Now to this newsletter. First, veteran wargamer, Scott Mingus, tells us some of his secrets behind his wargaming terrain. Everything from roads to a brickyard. "The Budget Wargamer" is definately a great article to start things off. Next, we have the painting guide that was written and is used by yours truly, Marc Shefelton. It tells you the colors for everything from coats to trim. Following the painting guide is an article I wrote I call "Wargaming from My Perspective". A few of you e-mailed me and wanted me to write what wargaming was from the perspective of a teen and a relatively new wargamer, so here it is. Then, there is a scenario I wrote called "Battle of the Ridge". This is one of the first scenarios I ever played, and its designed to be very flexible in setup and in playing. That's all for this issue. The next issue will hopefully include a review of Zouave magazine, an article about making streams with E-Z Water, and more. Check the web site for more updates. Please enjoy. Remember, for sending in articles, ideas for articles, and/or feedback, please e-mail me at shefeltn@cmh.net.
