Historical Background of Requete Tercio

COMMAND DECISION

March 1937

Requete Tercio (Veteran, Morale 9), with:

    HQ Company, with:
      1 command infantry stand
      1 recon infantry stand
    3-4 Infantry Companies, each with
      1 command infantry stand
      2 infantry stands
MG Company, with 2 MMG stands

The battalion support and carts are always merged at brigade level .

Earlier on, I'd say:

Requete Tercio (Regular-Experienced, Morale 9), with:

    HQ Company, with:
      1 command infantry stand
      0-1 recon patrol stand
    3 Infantry Companies, each with:
      1 command infantry stand
      3 infantry stands
MG Company, with 0-1 MMG stands

Regular and 0 MGs at the very start.

RAPID FIRE

March 1937

Requete Tercio (Elite ), with:

    BHQ Company, with 6 figures
3-4 Infantry Companies each with 8 figures
MG Company, with 2 MMG's each with 3 crew

Earlier on, I'd say:

Requete Tercio (Regular), with:

    BHQ Company, with 4 figures
3 Infantry Companies, each with 8 figures
MG Company, with: 1 MMG and 3 crew

The above information was originally provided in the form of an answer to a question on the egroups list . I felt it the information in it had to be passed on to non list Abanderado readers.
