Soluthurn 20mm
Anti-Tank Rifle

By Michele Armellini

Conforti Olao, in "Guadalajara - la prima sconfitta del fascismo" says that the assault platoon of the Garibaldi (then only a battalion, not yet part of the International Brigades itself) arrived at Torija with one Solothurn anti tank rifle. Maybe he was wrong about the make, but I'd think he can be believed at least about a generic ATR. Then he never mentions the weapon again. In my Command Decision representation of that platoon I don't include the ATR, because:

    a) one real-world weapon only seems very little,
    b) the battalion almost always had at least 1 T26B plt in close support,
    c) I don't want that ROF2 platoon to drag around that thing through the muddy woods!
