Armoured Vehicles
of the SCW

The Schneider-Brille MN19

by Rolfe Hedges

This vehicle was a conversion of a French bus, sold to Spain from France before World War One and initially used by the Army of Morocco in the campaigns in the desert against the Rif's.

Some were used by the same army in the actions in and around Seville during the first few months of the SCW. Their combat record and knowledge of its effectiveness is not known. The vehicle was lightly armoured and its role would have been an armoured personnel carrier. None of these vehicles survived the war.

The plan was originally 1:50 but has been reduced by 50%, so that it is now nearer 1:75.

Errata

The scale drawing of the Schneider Brille in vol. 2/4 was reduced to 1/100th scale.

The following is a formula for reducing/upscaling drawings sent in by Roger Bigg.

Take the scale you want ( e.g. 1/50th) and divide it by the scale you want (e.g. 1/76th) which equals a sum ( in this case .6578). Then move the decimal point two places to the right ( 65.78) and change to a percentage ( 66%) rounding up or down as necessary.
