Rompan el Fuego

SCW Supplement

by Mark Hannam

These are a super set of rules with all the stuff you need for a hassle free SCW wargame, assuming you already have "Rapid Fire" WW2 rules, of course. They include morale for different units, organisations, weapons and some really nice scenarios.

On the technical side, the only fault I can find is that the T 26 should be, at best, classified as "medium speed," but I'm sure that, given the quality of these rules, that the wrong classification was down to a momentary lapse of attention rather than lack of knowledge.

Perhaps the morale ratings of some of the militia units is a bit high, though, as anyone who knows me will tell you, I am completely unbiased between the gallant supporters of General Franco and the Red rabble.

I would say that a proof-reader would have gained these rules 100% instead of the 98% I'm inclined to award them - see page 11, Amatrelladoras, not Armatradellos, and pages 30-32, Purburell Hill, not Purubell, but this is only a minor niggle.

I have written my own supplement to WW2 rules (for my own use), and I rather thought I'd covered evervthing, but Mark has come up with some stuff I hadn't thought of. I shall certainly use this supplement from now on.
