We are devoting this issue of AAR to the Historical GM's!!! It takes a lot of effort, resources, and talent to Game-Master (GM) an Historical Wargame for a Convention. Those commendable efforts demonstrate devotion to the study of Military History, and selfless dedication to the Hobby of Historical Wargaming. Based on recent attention from HMGS East (and the GM's) on the subject GI is working to insure the needs and opportunities for Game Masters are all addressed. Hopefully this effort will: (1) Give GM's an organized method and means of SERVING the hobby, recognizing superior efforts, and working together collectively to IMPROVE what they do. (2) Obtain for GM's the environment of support needed from organizations like HMGS, Origins, GAMA, and others. So far we have several Groups of GM's working in different capacities, but want to coordinate ALL with all to help promote the hobby better. They are:
(b) "JodieConVet" Game Masters and Veteran Supporters of JodieCon campaign events. For information on Borodino 2002, see www.jodiecon.org (c) Team Old Glory: A small dedicated group of accomplished GM's, focused on presenting QUALITY events and sponsored by numerous wargame hobby merchants initially by Old Glory inc. ... and Then there is: (d) Gamers International (that would be us). GI has a very LARGE group of GM's and GI Affiliated Clubs representing many Historical Clubs and Gamer groups world wide. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GI_Newsletter So it is important for ALL GM's, Clubs, and "aspirant GM's" to give their input to this initiative. If interested in your part, email Pete at peterpanzeri@yahoo.com or join the GM list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HMGS-GM AS interest grows, we're planning our own GM newsletter and a separate website.. so please respond and sign up today!!!
