Concerning This Issue

This issue includes part III of my series on George Washington in the Seven Years War. As a companion to it I also have an article from Jim Mc Intyre on the experiences of Daniel Morgan, also of later fame during the War of Independence. Originally, my series on Washington was to have been in only three parts, however I own that I am long-winded enough and there is sufficient information of a useful nature at my disposal that the necessity of a fourth article to be contained in the next issue: Vol. XIV, number 1, has become a fact.

I have also been graced with an interesting article by contributing editor Brent Nosworthy. Although lengthy (it was originally published in two parts), it is highly relevant to the evolution of tactics during the eighteenth century.

On a related matter, with the delivery of this issue it is now time to renew. I hope (I have been promising this for a long time now) to ratchet up the frequency of the issues, now that I am settled into a larger and more ergonomically desirable house (and office). In the meantime, I urgently need articles, as well as your renewals, and await both with bated breath.
