1. 16th Annual SYWA Convention in 1999: will be held once again in South Bend, Indiana at the Holiday Inn Downtown. Paul Petri is once again serving as the convention organizer and he advises me that the dates are Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27, 1999. It is never too early to sign up for a room or to commit to hosting a wargame. Christopher Duffy will return as our guest of honor. Over the last several years, more and more members have checked into the hotel on Thursday evening for an informal gathering with one another, usually in the Dean West Hospitality Suite. Last year we had a full slate of gaming commencing Friday morning and lasting on through the wee hours of Saturday night. We probably had about 15-16 dealers attending, their tables groaning under the weight of all the books and lead miniatures that were for sale. A good time is had by one and all, so make your plans to attend now.
