To keep this format going we need you all to keep the articles coming to fill the available space, so keep it up chaps, glory, tho’ fleeting, could be yours!” Something for you all to ponder, perhaps as I often do, is that if publications like First Empire don’t keep going, publishing and discussing history, there is a danger that the powers that be will rewrite history to suit their own ends, already Germany appears to have been responsible for the defeat of Napoleon, a German Academic has already blamed Britain for World War II, because we didn’t assassinate Hitler in 1934(!), Commonwealth Troops not Empire troops fought and died in World War I, and apparently the Brits were very naughty for bombing Dresden and the French resistance were a social movement not an heroic resistance group! If this carries on Hitler will have been a very naughty boy who really needed a hug and Stalin will become a radical social reformer, God alone knows what Napoleon and Wellington will become other than mere minnions in the shadow of the might Blücher!
