Without their efforts we wouldn’t have a bi-monthly mag, ( as others have found its a lot harder to keep one going than you would think!), so they all get my heartfelt thanks and encouragement. This seems an appropriate point to ask all current and potential contributors to put pen to paper and get your articles in. We always need a stock of articles, and as long as they are readable (scannable!) they get used eventually. Subscribers We are slowly building a subscribers only area on www.Firstempire.net, where we have offers just for subscribers, at the moment these mainly comprise discounted books but we hope to expand to other areas. You have to be a subsciber to First Empire to get the discounts but the more you use it the bigger the range will get. See you next time! Well, that completes 12 years of First Empire, here’s to the next dozen! When I look back at when First Empire started, how I fondly remember, the steam Powered PC and the joys of Spraymount and manual cut and pasting that had to go in to each issue ... Not! Obviously as time has evolved, we have PCs capable of flying the planet to Mars, scanners and DTP which make life a lot easier, but
the best thing is the ever expanding group of contributors who freely contribute to First Empire.
