Napoleonic Books and Figures

by Dave Watkins

Dave Waxtel of the QUANTUM Printing Co. of New York has announced the release of several new titles for the summer. The Great Western Battles Scenario Book, which contains seven new scenarios for the popular Fire and Fury ACW rules. For Medieval wargamers, Tactica - The Medieval Rules Book, plus the re-release of They Died for Glory. A very important release is the first ever ENGLISH TRANSLATION of L'ARMEE FRANCAIS, a detailed history of the French Army first published in 1885, contains approximately 368 pages with over 300 line drawings by Edouard Detaille, and 20 colour reproductions of his most famous oil paintings. Sole distributor in the U.K. for this work is Dave Ryan of Caliver Books. Is this a big enough plug for a review copy I ask myself?

Barry Hill of FALCON FIGURES announces a new service where customers can pay to have figures designed and produced in 15mm and 25mm scale. This can, especially in 15mm, be very good value for money. For more details ring Barry on 0249 654413.

David Atkins of EAGLE MINIATURES has added two new figures to his ever expanding 25mm Napoleonic Range. Grenadier and Voltigeur of the 1809-1812 period. Review next issue, but don't wait for it, they are excellent.

Neville Dickinson of MINIFIGS, has, following the review of his 15mm Swedish Range in issue 5 of First Empire, added the 'missing' command group to the range. Good to see that MINIFIGS can react quickly to customer input and take constructive criticism positively and with good grace. Nice one Nev!
