In issue 6 we had a request for information on the composition of the Austrian Grenaders. The following data is compiled from the many letters received on the subject and the editor's collection. Thanks are due to WJ. Cook and Peter Korabik. Austrian Grenadier battalions were generally comprised of two Grenadier companies from each of three contributing line regiments. These battalions were known by the name of their commanding officer, which varied from time to time.
