Elite Flanquer and Grenadier companies of the 2nd Nassau hold out in the woods south of the chateau Hougoumont. The uniform is distinctly French since they had been recent allies of France. A new uniform was in the process of being issued--the 1st Nassau regiment had the new uniforms, and the 2nd Nassau had the old.
