Rumours of my impending death have been greatly exaggerated! My thanks to all who have shown concern and my apologies to any who have been on the wrong end of my temper during the last six months . . . I have not been the most patient of people during this time! The truth of the matter is that I have suffered the double whammy of a heart attack and a touch of bone cancer. The latter proved to be more of a concern than the former, but now minus a rib and several stone of puppy fat, I am on the road to recovery with the aid of some interesting drugs! So to friends I’m still here and going strong and to enemies, tough!, I’m still here and going strong!
On to magazine matters, Dispatches seems to have dried up so can we get those Readers Letters going again please, also Reader’s Reviews could do with resurrecting, reviews of books figures or films are all welcome. Next issue we have an article on Hohenlinden, but we need more battle articles. Also uniform and organisation articles are required.
This issue may be a couple of days late for reasons outlined earlier, issue 64 will be out on 18th April 2002, so I will see you then. For now I’m off to RIP (Rest in Pub!)
