Well now Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a little splash of colour for you. As from this issue First Empire is four pages thicker and now has 6 pages of colour inside, it only took 8 years but we got there in the end. This of course means that we have had to have a price rise but I think 25p is reasonable as its been 14 months since the last rise, and that this is a total price increase of 50p in 3½ years. This now gives us scope to have some nice uniform articles from your good selves. Break out those watercolours! On the topic of articles I could use some articles on battles, let's have some good wargaming ones as well - with nice pictures of the action! On the WebThe First Empire Web Site is getting more popular weekly so we will revamping the site in the near future to make it easier to use and hopefully containing more resources and information. The Eagle Software side of this site will be expanded to include free utilities and updates. A Big Ta to LionelThanks are due to Lionel Leventhal of Greenhill Books for permission to use some of the artwork from their new publication Napoleon's Elite Cavalry - The paintings of Lucien Rousselot. Believe me when I tell you that this book at £ 40.00 is an absolute must have, 91 cracking full colour, 21 x 30 cm plates complete with unit histories, in a total of 208 pp. Excellent value, nice one Lionel! Binder 5Subscribers will be pleased to know that the new binder (FEB05 49 -60), is available now and actually in stock as I write. The factory actually got it right this time! That's all for now folks, I hope you like the new format and I'll see you in December for the earth shattering 50th issue!
