As you can see we have had to have a little price increase due to increased production costs, unavoidable but it is the first one for over 2 years! No Show . . . Oh No!There has been some talk of a First Empire show this year and at one point I was seriously considering it, however, various events, crashing computers etc., have meant that I haven't been able to find the time this year so will do one in '99, I promise! Peter Gibbs, an aged associate who often donates pictures and pieces from his collection, is about to become a father for the first time (as far as public records can ascertain!), nothing unusual in this other than the impending Gibblet is due between 14th and 18th June. We have already started a book on how close to the battle date his wife Fiona can hold out until. Various suggestions for the naming of the brat are welcome, of course if we get a birth on the 18th Waterloo Gibbs must be a favourite, earlier and we could have a Ligny Gibbs. Mrs G must be desperately hoping to avoid Quatre Bras! Any suggestions are welcome and will no doubt be treated with contempt by the gestating one. Binders, Binders Oh those bloody binders!Once again our remarkably inefficient Binder Manufacturer are playing a blinder. Despite being on order since January we are again awaiting fresh supplies of FEB04. (The last lot I mentioned having been supplied and sold out!) So to those still awaiting their order, please be patient I am assured that will take delivery on the wonderfully specific delivery date of "sometime in June" (hopefully 1998!). Lack of Space.Unfortunately due to the nature of the articles in this issue, we have had to have a very short Dispatches page and the Moniteur section has been held over to the next issue. So please keep the letters coming, we love to read and print them - good or bad!
