What, No Battle? Where is my battle! Well the answer, dear reader, is that I had to make an executive decision here. The choices were do I put in a battle article, or reward as many as possible of the readership who wrote in with their comments, views and opinions. I chose the latter. Why? Because I am slowly disappearing under an immense pile of Dispatches. To be honest I think that is great! Keep `em coming. To those of you who didn't make into print, fear not the best will make it to issue 5 space permitting. Yes, all very well, but what about the battles? Issue 5 is to be a veritable `Battle Fest'. We are doing one very big one, (I'm not saying which yet), and two or three little ones. That should stave off your withdrawal symptoms. Changing the subject, you may have noticed that 9 months ago the wargames press fed us very little in the way of Napoleonic Articles, save a few pretty pictures. Then First Empire arrived and wham! Editors everywhere suddenly recognise the existence of the Napoleonic Wargamer. As I look around me every magazine has a Napoleonic feature, even dear old Military Modelling dragged one up for their latest issue. One magazine has even echoed the articles from First Empire, Albuera and Poltusk, in consecutive months. This issue should confuse them! Empires in Arms I have received a lot of enquiries for the Empires in Arms game following Ian Barstow's popular 1805 series. As a special Christmas Present to our loyal readers, we got a load in and copies are available for £ 24.00 including Postage (UK. BFPO & EEC only), this represents a considerable saving on the R.R.P. Send your orders, payable to First Empire, to the publishers address. Finally, may I on behalf of Richard, Bob, Pat, Ian, Julie (Tea girl and editorial concubine), Leon and myself, wish you all a Peaceful and Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. See you in `92!
