I hope you have all recovered from the festivities. Our efforts at First Empire recently have been directed towards the development of the Web Site www.firstempire.ltd.uk. Although this may be of little interest to those of you who are not yet connected to the internet it may be worth noting should you ever do.

We will be providing a resource centre at the site. This can be accessed free of charge and will contain research material that may be of interest but is not sufficient to appear as an article within First Empire. It will also contain more readily available material but we hope that this will be the first place that you will look in future if you can't find what you want.

Also on-line is an index of every item that has appeared in issues 1 to 32. This can downloaded and printed out free of charge. This will be available in printed form by next issue for which there will be a nominal charge. My thanks to Peter Kessler for the index - rather him than me - I've been putting off for years!

You can subscribe by credit card using our secure on-line subscription form and shortly you will be able to order the other products that we try to flog!

We also have plans to improve the magazine - but I shall not reveal anymore at this stage as these things sometimes don't come off.

As for articles and letters keep them coming - without you First Empire is nothing. In that vein, many readers have indicated that they like to see a picture of the article contributors - hence the menacing Cook and worrying Marks within these pages. So please send a picture with you article then the world can know who you are. Scene: a bar in Bangkok.. "Ah you Cookie, Ah lead you Furs Empile, you velly good! you wanna....."
