No blood and guts stuff this time, sorry, but it is the Christmas issue! I must bring to the attention of readers the Chakoten (Danish Military Historical Society's) exhibition currently running in Copenhagen until 1st February 1995 at the Royal Danish Armoury Museum. This consists of military figures through the ages and features various dioramas culminating in an epic Battle of Waterloo display of 8,000 25mm figures. If you can get to it, I suggest it may be a rewarding visit -- and thanks to the organisers for the stunning poster of a Danish Napoleonic Infantry man which now hangs in the office. As is customary at this time of the year I must thank all our contributors for their support and our subscribers for theirs. I have just returned from the Napoleonic Associations AGM, and I am proud to say that First Empire will be continuing its link up. The support of the membership was overwhelming and vocal. Again many thanks, I intend that both organisations will continue to expand over the coming years and I shall continue to strive to that end. During 1995, we shall see many changes in First Empire, with more battle features, reenactment unit profiles and parent unit histories, a PBM campaign, pickies and illustrations, uniform studies and quite a few things we can’t mention yet - as others pinch our ideas!. First Empire will remain definitely on the straight and narrow path to Moscow and back, be it gaming reenacting, researching or reviewing we shall pander to all! And finally... Merry Christmas and a Happy & Prosperous New Year to all from myself, Julie (Ed. conc.), my Mummy(!), Ian, Colin, Peter B-G., Peter L., Mike F., Mike H., Mike G., Geert and any others whose efforts have made the last year possible.
