36: Minden Reports

by Ingo Beringer

My next query again deals with Minden. It is not surprising that all the books about this battle contain eye-witness accounts by common soldiers and subaltern officers or, on the other side, the accounts of the French and Allied Headquarters. However, no official reports originating from the English regimental or brigade commanders, for instance General John (later Earl) Waldegrave or Lieut.- General William Kingsley. Does anyone know if such reports exist and where they may be found.
