Following the declaration of war on Spain in January 1762 was Gibraltar besieged or blockaded by the Spaniards? If so I would be interested in any information relating to the part played in any operations, defensive of otherwise, by the 13th Foot and its adjutant, Lieutenant William Bannatyne.
