Today we played a wonderfully crafted game, by Mauro, who prepared a Shako 2 scenario depicting the Battle of Saltanovka<\/a>, a difficult engagement for the Russians, who needed to attack the French by crossing a difficult riverbed, with very tight timings of arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All units, in 15mm scale, have been superbly painted and owned by Mauro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game went well for the French players, mainly due to the superior tactical stance of all the troops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons learned at Le Bois De Boulogne, like the infantry Brigade defensive tactical formation, called by the well known Colonel Devenice, “Jet-de-six”, were widely used and allowed to repulse all enemy attacks with very high losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
