I have identified:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>about 80 swiss pikemen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>about 40 lansquenets pikemen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>probably 15 lansquenets halberdier<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a number of lansquenet musketeers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>some german crossbows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>some french crossbows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>some artillerymen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>few officers, swiss and lansquenets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>few english figures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/stefanov.no-ip.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/s-l1200-5-1024x768.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37902\" style=\"width:275px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stefanov.no-ip.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/s-l1200-5-1024x768.webp 1024w, https:\/\/stefanov.no-ip.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/s-l1200-5-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/stefanov.no-ip.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/s-l1200-5-768x576.webp 768w, https:\/\/stefanov.no-ip.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/s-l1200-5.webp 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I plan to base them using the by now standard 50mmx50mm bases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 pikemen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 shooters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cavalrymen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Halberdiers and Officers, drummer and standard bearers shall be mounted on 50mmx25mm bases, while skirmishers will be mounted in twos, on 40mm round bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be more specific, using the Warfare in the Age of Discovery army descriptions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>German and swiss crossbows, skirmishers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>italian\/french\/swiss unarmored arquebusiers, skirmishers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stradiots and other light cavalry, single pill bases 25mmx50mm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>all artillery 50mmx100mm bases, four artillerymen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>french crossbowmen and arquebusiers, 50mmx50mm, four figures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sword and buckler and all halberdiers, two figures (three?) on 50mmx25mm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lansquenet and spanish arquebusiers and musketeers, two figures on 25mmx50mm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>German hand gunners, two figures on 50&#215;25<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>italian arquebusiers, two figures on 50&#215;25<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lansquenet and other pike units<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will build a lansquenet unit as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>first rank: two bases of arquebusiers or musketeers, two (three?) figures each on 50&#215;25.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other ranks: four bases of pikemen, six-figure on 50&#215;50\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>first rank of two bases should contain, officer, flag, drummer or halberdier, flag, fifer.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>there might be an option to separate command bases into first and second rank, to have more commands with flags from different armies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>last ranks: two bases of halberdiers, two or three figures on 50&#215;25<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spanish units would replace the halberdiers with sword and bucklers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swiss unit would not contain the first rank of arquebusiers but would have two skirmishers bases to be placed in front of the unit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have just recovered a bunch of old Early Renaissance Minifigs figures that need an important restoration.
